In December, the sun's height above the horizon continues to decrease in the northern hemisphere, and therefore the length of daylight decreases. The duration of sunshine during the month is 110-120 hours. The atmospheric circulation in the republic territory is mainly dominated by the cold air currents entering the northern latitudes. Mainly severe frosts are observed when the invading cold air comes to our country from Western Siberia or Scandinavia regions.
In December, the average monthly air temperature in the entire republic territory is predicted to be 2-3 degrees higher than usual, and the amount of precipitation is less than average, which means that December will be significantly hotter and drier than the multi-year average value.
