RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan referred to Armenia's volumes of trade turnover with EAEU countries. According to him, in the first eight months of this year, the importance of exports to the CIS countries amounted to 1.1 billion dollars, which has increased two times compared to last year.
As for the trade turnover with the Russian Federation, according to him, in the first eight months of 2022, it amounted to 2.642 billion dollars, which increased by 71.7 percent compared to the same period last year. At the same time, export increased by two times and imports by 55.3 percent.
The minister said that the RA government has worked to promote trade with other EAEU countries in addition to Russia. "Most of the relations of all countries in the EAEU structure were built with the Russian Federation and, it seems, have turned into ties between the Russian Federation and other countries. We have set ourselves the task of activating relations with other EAEU member countries and making the EAEU more balanced in terms of its structure and trade circulation.
According to Kerobyan, the change recorded this year shows that the work done in this direction has already yielded some results.
