B.P. posing as an employee of the National Security Service, assuring that through his acquaintance with the rank of general in the said service, he can arrange for the appropriate amount to settle the issue of returning the captured Armenian citizens to Armenia as a result of the attack on the sovereign territory of Armenia by the armed forces of Azerbaijan, allegedly prompted KH.G., a relative of the captured K..K.., to give him a bribe of 5 million drams under the pretext of transferring them to the "general."
The factual data about this was obtained on October 5, 2022, based on the report of the Kh.G. Criminal proceedings were initiated in the Shirak Regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee and sent to the Anti-Corruption Committee on the same day.
On October 11, 2022, a secret investigative operation, "Simulation of Bribery," was carried out, during which B.P. was arrested by the NSS employees immediately after receiving a part of the mentioned amount, 1 million 200 thousand AMD.
On October 12, 2022, the investigator submitted a mediation request to the supervising prosecutor to initiate a public criminal prosecution against B.P., which was granted.
A public criminal prosecution was initiated against B.P. by Article 44-46-436, Part 2, Clause 2 and Article 44-440, Part 2 of the Criminal Code, and a petition for arrest was submitted to the court, which was satisfied.
Assessing B.P.'s guilt as sufficient to prove it in court, by the decision of the supervising prosecutor on November 1, 2022, the indictment was approved and sent to the Anti-Corruption Court.
