After the Bagratashen checkpoint is repaired, crossing the Armenian-Georgian border will significantly simplify. Rustam Badasyan, the chairman of the State Revenue Committee, said this during the discussion of the draft state budget for 2023 in the National Assembly at the joint session of the permanent parliamentary committees on November 1.
Next year, as the SRC head mentioned, the repair of the checkpoint will begin. In addition, there will be restricted inspection and crossing sections for individuals and businesses in two directions.
"Thus, citizens traveling by cars and buses will not have to wait in line, standing behind trucks. The repair of the Bagratashen checkpoint and the Meghri checkpoint will be carried out in cooperation with the EU," Badasyan noted.
