The RA delegation in India participated in the 90th Assembly of the Interpol General Assembly

From October 18 to 21, the 90th General Assembly of the International Criminal Police Organization, Interpol, was held in the Indian city of New Delhi. More than 700 representatives from 174 countries participated in the work of the Assembly.

In his opening speech, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted efforts and cooperation aimed at public security at the international level.
At the 90th session of the Interpol General Assembly, the delegation of the RA Police was represented by the head of the Interpol AKB in RA, police colonel Narine Hakobyan. Within the framework of the assembly, he had meetings with Interpol General Secretary Jürgen Stock, other representatives of the organization, and heads of delegations of several member states, with whom issues of common interest were discussed.

The main topics of discussion in the fight against international crime included: the fight against financial crimes and corruption, cybercrime, the conflict against sexual exploitation of children, etc.

At the end of the assembly, several fundamental decisions were adopted.

In 2023, the 91st session of the Interpol General Assembly is planned to be held in Vienna to mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Interpol. In 1923, Interpol was officially established as the International Criminal Police Organization in Vienna.
