President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan delivered a lecture at St. Kliment Ohridsk State University as part of his state visit to Bulgaria.
"Economy of Armenia. In the lecture entitled "Facing the global and regional challenges," the president expressly referred to Armenia's economic development, vision, and attractiveness.
Turning to foreign economic relations, Vahagn Khachaturyan noted that Armenia's economy is closely integrated with Russia's economy because Armenia has been a member of the EAEU since 2013. Still, at the same time, the president emphasized that this does not prevent active cooperation between Armenia and the EU.
During the lecture, the president also referred to the economic growth rates of Armenia in the current year and their reasons, which are also related to the inflow of labor and companies from Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. According to the President, the favorable conditions of Armenia's tax field and financial banking system are an additional incentive for foreign investors and enterprises.
President Khachaturyan noted that Armenia always pays special attention to high technologies, foreign companies, and investments and takes active steps to make them more favorable and attractive.
