Germany wants to participate in the observation mission in Armenia and plans to offer its experts to work from November, the representative of the German Foreign Ministry told reporters. Sputnik Armenia informs.
Earlier, during the meeting held in Luxembourg, EU foreign ministers officially approved the mission of 40 observers to Armenia. They will be deployed to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border to monitor the situation.
"The federal government strives for Germany to participate in the observation mission in Armenia and may propose a mission of experts from November," said the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry.
According to him, the decision on who will be involved in the process will be made by the mission's leadership, depending on specific needs.
Remember that the EU observation mission is planned for two months. The purpose of the work is to contribute to the restoration of security and stability in the region, the formation of trust, and the creation of boundary and security commissions.
