The destruction and appropriation of Armenian historical and cultural values by Azerbaijan were discussed
On October 19, H.E. Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received the delegation of the United Arab Emirates, led by His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Musallam, the president of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
At the meeting, His Eminence emphasized with satisfaction that the relations between Armenia and the United Arab Emirates are continuous and friendly, resulting in new achievements in various fields.
The Armenian Patriarch also referred to the problematic and challenging post-war situation of Armenia, expressing confidence that the Armenian people will be able to overcome the existing challenges thanks to their strong faith and the support of friendly countries.
In turn, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Musallam, conveying to the Armenian Patriarch the greetings and best wishes of Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh of Sharjah, confirmed with satisfaction that the Armenian-Arab ties are substantial, in line with the old friendship.
During the conversation, the issue of destruction and usurpation of Armenian spiritual and historical cultural values in the territories under the control of Azerbaijan was also discussed.
