On October 18, the delegation led by the Chairman of the Democratic Partnership Committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, David Price, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the RA National Assembly, Eduard Aghajanyan.
The guests were welcomed, and the history of the creation of the memorial complex was presented by Lusine Abrahamyan, the deputy director for museum works of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. He explained to the guests the history of three cross-stones in the Tsitsernakaberd area in memory of the Armenians who died in the massacres organized by the Azerbaijani government in the cities of Sumgait, Kirovabad (Gandzak), Baku at the end of the last century.
Mr. David Price laid a wreath at the memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, after which the members of the delegation from the USA placed flowers near the eternal fire and observed a minute of silence in memory of one and a half million innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Lusine Abrahamyan accompanied the guests from the USA to Hushapat. Behind them are summarized the relics of those foreign public figures, politicians, and missionaries who raised their voices of protest against the Armenian Genocide committed by the Turkish government.
