The statement of the RA Ministry of Human Rights regarding the new video of the killing of Armenian prisoners of war by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces
Yesterday, on October 11, the video spread in the domain of the Azerbaijani social network depicts another case of torture of unarmed Armenian prisoners of war, justifying the fact of killing those prisoners of war. This time, the Azerbaijani military is filming the fact of its war crime. The institution of the defender has located the place, we confirm that the events of the video took place on September 13 during the attack of the Azerbaijani armed forces on the territory of Armenia. The Armenian prisoners of war depicted in the video have been identified. These facts, among other evidence, are confirmed by the testimonies of Armenian prisoners of war who were repatriated on October 4 of this year.
The mentioned facts have been documented in detail and will be sent to international specialized organizations and actors.
The defender notes that serious crimes committed by Azerbaijani servicemen continue to remain unanswered, and impunity encourages them to engage in new and more severe crimes. Competent international actors must condemn these acts. The international community should demand more consistently from the Azerbaijani authorities to conduct a proper investigation and punish the criminals and organizers instead of decorating them with medals.
