The TRC has been elected a full member of the Forum of Media Regulators of Francophone Countries
At the 7th conference of the Forum of Media Regulators of Francophone Countries (REFRAM) held in Paris on October 7, the Television and Radio Commission was elected a full member of REFRAM. The decision to join the TRC Forum family was made unanimously by all the heads of the regulatory bodies of the 30 member states.
RA President Tigran Hakobyan received an invitation from REFRAM President Mr. Nuri Lajmi to participate in the conference. Still, the start of the tender process for allocating slots in the public cinema prevented him from going to Paris. During the meeting, the media regulator of Armenia was presented and made a speech by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to UNESCO, the Personal Representative of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia to the International Organization of Francophone Countries, the Ambassador Christian Ter-Stepanyan.
The Commission values its membership of REFRAM, enabling it to establish practical, professional links with this prestigious organization and the Member States' regulatory authorities.
We thank REFRAM and the 30-member regulatory bodies of the Forum for their positive response to the Commission's application and decision to join the organization.
