An extraordinary session of the CSTO Permanent Council took place.

The RA Foreign Ministry informs that on September 13, at the initiative of the Armenian side, an extraordinary session of the CSTO Permanent Council was held under the chairmanship of Victor Biyagov, the Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the CSTO, which was attended by CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov and CSTO Joint Staff Chief Anatoly Sidorov.

"During the meeting, the RA representative presented information to the members of the CSTO Central Committee that on September 13, after midnight, the armed forces of Azerbaijan, grossly violating international law and the ceasefire regime, carried out provocative and aggressive actions against the sovereign territory of Armenia, attempts of positional advancement in some directions carrying out. The RA armed forces were brought to a high level of military training and went to defend their entrusted areas. The actions of the Azerbaijani armed forces are considered a gross violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Armenia, a CSTO member state. The situation may lead to a large-scale armed conflict.

Victor Biyagov noted that Armenia, addressing its allies in the CSTO, expects practical collective steps to ensure the security, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the CSTO Charter. He expressed confidence that the CSTO mechanisms can restrain the aggressor."
