On September 8, the Azerbaijani side returned five Armenian prisoners of war to the RA side. This is reported by the RA NSS, mentioning the latter's names.

The Azerbaijani mass media report that the Armenian prisoners of war were handed over to Yerevan based on the agreements reached during the negotiations between the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the President of the European Council Charles Michel, and the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. It is noted that the transfer process was carried out on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
