Pensions and allowances have been increased by 3000 drams since September 1.
RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan informed that the basic pension amount was set at 21,000 drams instead of 18,000 drams, and the minimum pension was set at 30,500 instead of 28,600 drams.
The minister informed. "According to the current formula and the law, a certain group of pensioners received less than the promised 3,000 drams, and we decided to increase the amount of the minimum pension to 31,600 drams, which will guarantee that all pensioners will receive the 3,000 drams we promised."
The minister also mentioned that people whose pension was not increased by 3000 drams but much less since September 1 will now receive the other part of the amount together with the October pension.
RA Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan also called this step a significant step forward, emphasizing that the essential tool to solve social problems is included in the government's plan.
