Zorik Melkonyan, a 46-year-old resident of Arzakan village in Kotayk marz, is being sought within the framework of the criminal proceedings being investigated in connection with the murder of two persons, attempted murder of two persons, as well as hooliganism in the Charentsavan investigative department of Kotayk Marz Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee.
As we have informed, on August 27, 2022, at around 03:30, a 46-year-old man entered the neighbor's bedroom through an open window, beat him, stabbed him several times on different parts of his body, as well as on the forearm of his wife, causing physical injuries.
As a result of the necessary measures taken within the framework of the criminal proceedings, the dead body of the latter's wife was also found on the bed in the bedroom of the 46-year-old man's residence, with her neck partially cut.
Days after the crimes mentioned above, on August 30, 2022, at around 08:30, Zorik Melkonyan stabbed two employees of the same company on the premises of the company located on the 8th street of Balahovit village, Kotayk region, as a result of which one of them died. And the other was taken to the "Abovyan" medical center with the diagnosis of a "cut-puncture wound from the left lumbar region."
In addition, on August 30, 2022, between 04:00 and 04:30, Zorik Melkonyan, showing the knife in his hand at the gas station on Yerevanyan Street in Abovyan, demanded money and food.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with the cases, which have been combined into one proceeding, the preliminary investigation of which is being carried out in the Charentsavan investigative department of the Kotayk Marz Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
Urgent measures are being taken to locate the 46-year-old man.
