RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that the academic city would be built in Ashtarak.
According to the Prime Minister, "Unified, renewed universities will move there over time."
Pashinyan informed that the government intends to go the way of enlargement of universities and integrating with some research institutes. "So that we have a maximum of 8 consolidated state universities. With total state funding, those eight universities will meet international standards, from physical, including educational, research, sports, and dormitory infrastructures, to international educational programs and qualified, properly paid professors.
