Gegham Melikbekyan, the press secretary of the Ministry of Education and Culture, told Radar Armenia that they do not yet have collected data on the number of students enrolled in the first grade but assured that the ministry would publish complete information on how many first graders will go to school in Armenia in 2022 by September 15.
According to statistical data, about 40 thousand children were born in Armenia in 2017. From this, we can assume how many children will go to the first grade on September 1 this year.
Regarding the educational process, Melikbekyan said that the field of general education would start tomorrow, September 1, according to the curriculum approved by the Minister of Education and Culture.
