Within the framework of the "Additional financing of the Education Improvement Program" credit program, the sub-program "Increasing the level of children's readiness for school and ensuring equal starting opportunities for education" has been launched, in the context of which new preschool micro-programs will be implemented in the communities of RA states this year.
The studies planned in all states will highlight the socially disadvantaged communities and institutions that can provide preschool education services. It is designed to create affordable and sustainable preschool educational services in selected districts with additional funding.
To assess the needs of this process, study the area, and organize awareness activities, the representatives of the "Educational Programs Center" of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Armenia conducted tours in the educational institutions of Armavir and Aragatsotn regions of the Republic of Armenia. The respective departments of the above-mentioned regional governorates presented the list of communities in which there is a need to establish a preschool.
In particular, the representatives of the PIO were in Taronik, Lukashin, Myasnikyan, Berkashat, Arazap, Zartonk, Ankashen, Aygeshat, Dalarik, Yervandashat secondary schools, and Ashtarak No. 3 in Aragatsotn state, as well as Mugnu, Byurakan, Lernapar, Agarakavan, Tallin, Ashnak educational institutions.
Within the scope of the visits, working meetings were held with the directors of the institutions mentioned above, during which the employees of the PIO explained the nature of preschool education micro-programs, referred to the process of organizing micro-programs and considered the appropriateness of the area. The study will be followed by evaluation and promotion activities.
