As a result of the urgent measures taken in the investigative department of the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of the investigative department of the Yerevan city of the RA investigative committee, the case of the murder of a citizen of the Republic of India was revealed.

On August 28, 2022, at 09:40, a report was received about the presence of a man's body in the area of ​​the stone workshop located on Davit Bek Street in Yerevan.

The investigative-operational group that immediately went to the scene of the incident, after inspecting the location of the incident, found the body of a 27-year-old citizen of India with injuries on the head and face, as well as an iron rod with traces of blood, on the sofa at the indicated address.

Regarding the incident, criminal proceedings were initiated under Article 155, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.

As a result of the conducted operational and investigative actions, as well as operative-investigative measures, several circumstances of the case were revealed, including the motive and the identity of the person who committed the alleged crime, a 45-year-old citizen of the Republic of India.

In particular, the investigation revealed that on August 28, 2022, around 02:00, at 54/11 Davit Bek Street, Yerevan, an argument over personal issues took place between the victim and his 45-year-old acquaintance. During this, the latter hit the 27-year-old young man's face several times with a metal rod, as a result of which the young man died from the bodily injuries he received.

A 45-year-old citizen of India was arrested and confessed based on reasonable suspicion that he had committed a crime. Forensic and forensic biological examinations were appointed.
