Rumors about a citizen being beaten by patrols and using "medicine" are untrue

Today on social media and news sites, information with the caption "Emergency incident: patrols in Gyumri poured medicine into the eyes of a citizen, after which they began to beat him brutally" was spread. The RA police stated that the patrols stopped a "BMW" car in Gyumri for violating traffic rules.
"The driver did not have a driver's license and a vehicle permit. He did not comply with the lawful request of the police and resisted. Using a special means, the patrols made an administrative arrest. Rumors about beatings and using "drugs" are untrue," the statement said.
