As a result of government-community cooperation, 6 subsidy programs will be implemented in Gyumri

Governor of Shirak, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, together with the regional and city government representatives, followed the progress of several subsidy programs in Gyumri today. In particular, within the subsidy program "Renovation of social apartments and cultural centers of the Gyumri community," the works of repairing the building and roof of the puppet theater named after Alikhanyan are in progress.

"The issue of the Gyumri Puppet Theater was rather neglected. As the first Puppet Theater in Transcaucasia, I must record that for years; proper attention was not paid to the structure. The processes related to this structure started in 2019 when a project was prepared for the roof repair according to the government's relevant decision. I am thrilled that during the previous year, the community included this structure in the framework of the subsidy program; it was presented to the governor's office, which, of course, was welcomed by us," said the Shirak governor in a conversation with journalists.

Nazeli Baghdasaryan emphasized that the primary purpose of the visits is to record the existing and possible defects so that they can be fixed at the stage of the work and quickly corrected.

"Actually, there was no change in the windows, and as a result of the work, the builder recorded that problem, as well as the problem with the mural on the back wall of the small stage; a solution was found there, that one more layer should be artificially brought forward, the problem of the wall section will be solved, and the issue of the windows will be addressed to the governor's office the attention of those in charge has been called, or we will plan a design change, or some other way, as a result of which the work performed will have a full result. We have recorded one more problem, the issue of the narrowness of the staircases, which can cause problems in terms of fire protection; let's see what kind of solutions we will have in this matter. Otherwise, it turns out that work is being carried out, and then due to some shortcomings, we have problems, and the work is wasted," said the governor.

The wooden balcony of the "Maryam and Yeranuhi Aslamazyan Sisters' Gallery" will also be repaired with the subsidy program; the governor was informed that the works have not yet started, but it is planned to carry out the results with a total estimated cost of 14 million 72 thousand drams. The regional authorities also followed the street construction works.

The approved cost of the subsidy program "Maintenance of 22 streets of Gyumri community" is 2 billion 181 million drams; as a result of the tender, the total cost was 1 billion 998 million 646 thousand drams, of which the government's share is 45 percent. Five companies carry out construction work.

"It must be said that in terms of pace, I consider the indicators of the subsidy programs currently implemented in Gyumri to be satisfactory for 2022, although I want to remind you that we still have unfinished programs from last year, regarding which we must be consistent," Nazeli Baghdasaryan emphasized and noted, that consistency will be shown to all communities and all programs. Poor quality work and delays will be unacceptable. The process of accepting applications for 2023 has already started. According to the governor, this is another step forward because, after the acceptance of the program packages, it will be possible to conduct tenders from January. Construction works will start earlier in total volume.
