The deputy director of "Surmalu" was released, and the others arrested in the explosion case were detained.
Three persons arrested in connection with the explosion in the "Surmalu" shopping center have been detained. The petition to contain one, the deputy director of "Yerevan Canning Factory" CJSC, which operates the "Surmalu" shopping center, was rejected.
Arevik Khachatryan, head of the Public Relations Department of the General Prosecutor's Office, said this in response to the question of "Hetk." The deputy director, whose name has not been released by law enforcement, has been charged with violating fire safety rules in the shopping center, which negligently caused death or other serious consequences.
The other three arrested and detained persons are businessmen whose names are also unknown. One of them is a warehouse operator. The latter is accused of negligently killing two or more people.
