The President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan today received the participants of the "Summer School" program of the National Assembly. President Vahagn Khachaturyan greeted the students, referred to the activity and role of the presidential institute, the need to receive a quality education and be a responsible citizen, and presented episodes from the history of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.

In his speech, the President said: "Actually, we as a country can be successful only with our knowledge, thought, and initiatives. If we once thought that there were other criteria, today we can clearly say that neither mining, nor apricot, nor Thermo mug (because there was such an idea) will help us if there is no thought, if there is no initiative, if there is no freedom and most importantly knowledge.

You are the recipients of that knowledge and will continue to receive it. My wish, my request, for you is to use every opportunity to gain understanding. At every meeting, at every opportunity, try to gain knowledge. Don't get tired.

Every day I learn something and read something new. The opportunity to gain knowledge will never end in life, even more so in the present. In this fast-changing, rapidly demanding world, if you have a desire to learn, I am sure that your creative possibilities will increase. You will see that you will become the bearers of new ideas and discoveries, and the state's role will only allow you to realize all that freedom.

There are no problems related to freedom in our country, and if any problem arises, our response is unequivocal. We need to be able to remove that restriction, whether it's in business, in everyday life, or at border crossings. All that will be done for the sake of people coming here and feeling good; it's not only about the citizens of our country."
