According to the RA legislation, the RA urban planning, technical, and fire safety inspection body does not have the authority to register fire-hazardous goods and fireworks. Elena Zohrabyan, the press secretary of the inspection body of the RA CCFS, said this in a conversation with Radar Armenia, answering the question of whether the CCFS inspectors have calculated how many flammable products are in the "Petak" fair.
"Since the CCFS inspection body does not have the authority to count flammable goods, it cannot specify its volumes," said Elena Zohrabyan.
To the question: what actions have been taken or will be taken in the direction of compliance with safety rules, Zohrabyan elaborated: the head of the inspection body, on 10.06.2021. 2021 based on the order June 14-18, inclusive, at "Petak" LLC, located at Arshakunyats 17a, Yerevan, observation, and research were carried out regarding compliance with technical and fire safety legislative requirements.
"As a result, the director of "Petak" company was subjected to administrative responsibility based on the violations of fire safety rules, urban development norms, according to the characteristics of part 1 of Article 187 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The company was also given orders to eliminate the violations with clear deadlines. The last term of the order was set for 2022. July 23. On August 22-25, on the instructions of the head of the inspection body of the RA CCFS, a double observation and investigation are being carried out at "Petak" LLC," informed the press secretary of the inspection body, Elena Zohrabyan.
