The government will not compensate the businessmen affected by the "Surmalu" explosion

The government will not compensate the businessmen affected by the explosion of the "Surmalu" shopping center.

RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan said in a briefing after the government session that businessmen would receive compensation if their property was insured. According to him, the government cannot take over the function of an insurance company.

According to the minister. "If the businessmen who worked in that environment had insured their property against fire, etc., naturally, this case would be compensable. The government cannot take upon itself the function of compensating the expenses that the insurance company should have incurred, and if the businessman did not consider this risk to be big, then the government has nothing to do here."

Kerobyan called on the members to learn to work with high standards and to insure real estate and business.
