The Chief of the RA Armed Forces General Staff and the Russian Ambassador to RA discussed several issues related to regional security.

On August 22, the Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, Major General Edward Asryan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Kopirkin. The embassy's defense attaché, colonel Igor Shcherbakov, took part in the meeting.
Sergey Kopirkin congratulated Edward Asryan on assuming the post of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and wished him success during his responsible mission. Several issues related to military cooperation and regional security were discussed at the meeting.
