Recently, there have been many false alarms about explosive device placement, disrupting the usual daily routine of the public and the responsible departments. Radar Armenia presents false alarms received from January 1 to August 16, 2022.
On January 7, at 09:21, the National Center for Crisis Management was alerted that an explosive device was placed in the club of Parakar village in the Armavir region. Still, no explosive device was found due to the site investigation.
The National Crisis Management Center was again informed on August 14 at 4:46 p.m. that explosive devices were installed in all metro stations, in all vital military and civilian facilities, in all shopping centers, in the zoo, at Baghramyan 19, in St. Grigor Lusavorich Church. Population evacuation works are being carried out based on the population's safety. As a result of the investigation by the canine and anti-explosion teams of the Ministry of ES and the police in 10 stations of the Yerevan metro, in all significant military and civil facilities, in all shopping centers, in the zoo, in Baghramyan, 19, in the Church of Saint Grigor Lusavorich, no explosive devices were found, after which the regular operation of the metro was restored.
The National Crisis Management Center again received information on August 16 that explosive devices were placed in all subway stations and at the "Zvartnots" international airport. As of 2:55 p.m., the search operations in all metro stations have been carried out; nothing has been found. As of 15:00, the subway resumed its regular operation. Explosive devices were also not seen as a result of the site investigation at "Zvartnots" International Airport.
It should be noted that Radar Armenia has sent a written request to the RA police to find out whether persons were identified and brought to justice in connection with false alarms.
