Search and rescue operations continued throughout the night, and some cooling functions are still underway. Deputy Minister of ES Artyusha Grigoryan said this in a briefing with journalists today, noting that we still have two missing citizens and 16 victims, one of whom has not yet been identified.
"If one of the two missing citizens is the unidentified citizen, then there is one missing citizen. According to the information we have, this missing citizen was at the entrance of the first floor of the building at the time of the explosion," said the Deputy Minister of ES, noting that now search operations will be carried out in those areas. Still, there are additional complications, as there is a risk of the building collapsing.
"We are now discussing that we should enter the building to carry out search operations. After finding the two missing persons, the search will be stopped."
The deputy minister reported that 70% of the area has been cleaned and added that the building will be dismantled after completing the works.
