Archaeologists have discovered an ancient Egyptian sailing ship that matches the description of the first-century AD Greek historian Strabo. It was found near the submerged island of Antirhodos, in the excellent harbor of Alexandria. Such a ship had never been seen in Egypt before, which makes the discovery particularly significant.
