Today marks the 37th anniversary of the Karabakh movement.
In this regard, Radar Armenia presents excerpts from interviews with members of the “Karabakh” committee, the first president of the Republic of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Vano Siradeghyan, and Vazgen Manukyan, where they reflect on the launch of the Karabakh movement, the activities of the “Karabakh” committee.
LEVON TER-PETROSYAN (excerpt from an interview with the “Hayk” newspaper, 04.03.1990)
- What did the Karabakh movement give you personally?
- Loyal, devoted, and self-sacrificing friends who are united by the awareness of the public interest and a sense of duty and responsibility. By saying friends, I mean not only the members of the “Karabakh” committee or the board of the Armenian National Movement but also the hundreds of fighters of the movement with whom I have been lucky enough to communicate.
