Floods in Mexico cut off 300 towns from the outside world (PHOTOS)

Heavy rains, floods, and landslides in central and eastern Mexico over the past week have left 300 towns without power and cut off communication with the outside world. Dozens of people have died, and others are missing.

The flooding occurred after a tropical storm hit Mexico’s west coast, causing rivers to overflow and mountain slopes to collapse.
