Hmayak Hovhannisyan, deputy of the 2nd and 3rd convocations of the National Assembly and president of the Union of Political Scientists of Armenia, is the guest of the "Radar Conversation" program at the Radar Armenia booth.

24 years after the crime of October 27, Hovhannisyan referred to the details of terrorism, talked about his hypothesis, which may become the subject of investigation, and also spoke in detail about the motives for the murder of Karen Demirchyan, Vazgen Sargsyan, and Leonard Petrosyan.

According to Hovhannisyan, in 1999, on October 27, many "Orinats Yerkir" faction and ARF members were in the National Assembly building. Still, they were not in the meeting hall and did not participate in that vital session, even though Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan had just returned from the USA.

"October 27" has two layers: one non-governmental, the other foreign political," says Hovhannisyan, evaluating it as a coup d'état through terrorism.

Political terrorism like "October 27" could not be organized from outside without interested parties within the government. It is clear that "October 27" was a KGB operation. Nairi Hunanyan was a national security agent. Gagik Jhangiryan and Vahan Shirkhanyan saw his NSS dossier in the presence of Kocharyan."

According to the President of the Union of Political Scientists of Armenia, Nairi Hunanyan killed Demirchyan by order. "They told Nairi Hunanyan that we will help you eliminate Vazgen Sargsyan, but you must also eliminate Demirchyan. And this was done in his office, the Ministry of National Security."
