Radar Interview

"One actor, even the USA, is not able to ensure peace in the Caucasus;" Hakob Badalyan (VIDEO)

Political commentator Hakob Badalyan is the guest of the "Radar Chat" program at the Radar Armenia booth. He referred to the results of the second round of negotiations for the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations held in Washington, the possibility of signing a peace agreement and a direct Baku-Stepanakert dialogue by the end of the year, as well as the actions of the Armenian authorities aimed at balancing the balance of power in the region.

According to Badalyan, Russia does not tacitly agree to allow the West to hold the negotiation coil in its hands, leaving the responsibility to it, "As football commentators say, he tries to play as number two because he can't play as number one."

According to Badalyan, contact between Azerbaijan and Artsakh is unrealistic in the foreseeable future, "It is necessary to form a diverse field of responsible people. In the external field, one person cannot be responsible for the security and peace of the Caucasus. Today, one actor, even the United States, cannot ensure full peace in the Caucasus," the political commentator noted.
