Radar Interview

"The EU knows what is the border of Armenia, the CSTO does not," Hripsime Grigoryan (VIDEO)

Hripsime Grigoryan, deputy of the NA "Civil Contract" faction, is the "Radar Conversation" program guest at the Radar Armenia booth. She referred to the developments taking place around Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

- First of all, I would like you to address the reactions of the Russian side regarding the observers. Official Moscow criticized this.

- Yes, we listened, presented, and communicated our position, which is more than apparent. The RA government is solving the problems facing Armenia by serving the interests of the Republic of Armenia, which requires ensuring the security and territorial integrity of Armenia.

- The Russian side also says: we will send CSTO observers; you didn't want it.

- Where will they send it? That is also a question. We ask that question; we say: where? They say Armenia. We say: very good. Has Armenia been subjected to aggression? Is a part of the territories of Armenia occupied by Azerbaijan: May 2021, November 2021, or September 2022? They say: you know, we think it's borderline... We say, no, it's not like that. Now the opposite question: do you know the borders of the CSTO, of which we are a member? I say: I will come to protect you. You say: perfect, where should you defend? You say, somewhere on that border... I say, but what will you save if you need to know the place you are coming to?

- In other words, the EU knows the border, but the CSTO does not.

- Of course, if it expresses that the aggression that took place is an occupation of the RA territory, this is an expression of a clear position. When it is said that the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan are accepted as the Alma-Ata declaration defined them. We know for sure that this is a definition. Here there is an assessment and an expression of a position, which allows you to take steps based on it.
