Radar Interview

"The Russians will fight to the end so that they are not UN peacekeepers;" M. Hayrapetyan (VIDEO)

Public figure Mikayel Hayrapetyan is a guest of the Radar chat program at the Radar Armenia booth. He referred to the situation in the region and the developing processes around Armenia and Artsakh.

- The Russian side does not consider the deployment of UN peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh and the Lachin Corridor to be realistic, noting that the Russian peacekeepers are performing their functions. In which case will Azerbaijan and Russia agree to this?

- Russia has always agreed to anything only when it could not oppose it. Just then, he won't decide. We are like that in our relationships. So, Russia will put both feet in one shoe and insist they do not exist. They will differ from what we would like them to be. The Russians will fight to the end not to be. They do not raise their hands because they theoretically understand that this is the first step, after which there will be a semi-armed presence, then an armed one. This means the South Caucasus is removed from under Russia's feet. Russia stands on one foot in the South Caucasus, which is Armenia. Imagine if that, too, goes under your feet. So, Russia will resist.
