It is a great honor to receive the Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity, especially since it is named after the UAE's founder, the late Sheikh Zayed. Ilham Aliyev stated this in an interview with Euronews on January 20 in Davos. He noted that the South Caucasus is entering a new stage of development today.
"Today, relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan are already turning into cooperation. We have lifted all restrictions on cargo transportation to Armenia. Moreover, we have started supplying Armenia with the most important goods, mainly oil products, on which the country is largely dependent. And this is a win-win situation for both sides. Therefore, I believe that thanks to the joint efforts of Armenia and Azerbaijan, including civil society, we will achieve not only short-term, but also permanent peace in the Caucasus. This is our goal," Ilham Aliyev stated.
