During his speech, NA Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan referred to the August 8 declaration, noting that the opposition claims a corridor is being provided, that Armenia's sovereignty is being reduced, and that the country will find itself under restrictions.
"As a result of Ararat Mirzoyan's meeting, a clear answer was given that security throughout the territory of Armenia is ensured by the relevant departments of the Republic of Armenia, and all processes will be carried out under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of Armenia," said the NA Deputy Speaker.
He emphasized that appropriate procedures will be implemented, and the published document stipulates that this is not about an extraterritorial corridor but about a road.
According to him, the opposition claimed there would be no lifting of the blockade and that Armenia would remain under it. Meanwhile, in fact, Armenia had been partially lifted from the blockade even before the implementation of TRIPP.
"The declaration signed on August 8 assumes the unblocking of all communications in the region, as a result of which Armenia will have the opportunity to establish a railway connection with Iran, and this connection with Russia is already partially available," Ruben Rubinyan noted.
