Within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Prime Minister of Iraqi Kurdistan Masrour Barzani.
During the meeting, the prospects for developing cooperation between Armenia and Iraqi Kurdistan in political, economic, and other areas were discussed. The parties emphasized the need to deepen ties and expand practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The interlocutors touched upon regional realities and current developments, emphasizing the importance of strengthening peace, stability, and security. In this context, the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative was discussed, and the TRIPP program was presented as part of the development of regional communications. It was emphasized that the implementation of such initiatives stems from the interests of all countries in the region and provides an opportunity to realize the vast opportunities available in the economic, transport, and logistics sectors.
The parties also attached importance to the continuation of cooperation across various international platforms, emphasizing the need for mutual dialogue and coordinated approaches to address regional and global challenges.
