TRIPP does not violate Armenia's sovereignty. Rubio

Today, we will continue to work towards implementing the TRIPP project, which is an excellent example of cooperation, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said during a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

“It opens Armenia for business, allows for economic prosperity, and in no way violates the sovereignty of Armenia, but rather respects it, contributes to the bilateral relations of the two countries, which are very strong and continue to strengthen,” Rubio said.

According to the US Secretary of State, this agreement will serve as a good example for the whole world on how to open up to economic activity and prosperity without in any way endangering or undermining one’s own sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“We believe that this will be beneficial for Armenia, for the United States, and for all participants. But, ultimately, this is an example for the world. We are deeply committed to this cause, and today we are taking important steps to move forward,” he concluded.
