Russian TV presenter and propagandist Vladimir Solovyov has stated that losing Armenia is against the national interests of the Russian Federation. According to him, a “special military operation” should be carried out not only in Ukraine, but also in other territories of Russian influence.
In an interview with Radar Armenia, Hasmik Hakobyan, a deputy of the National Assembly’s Communist Party faction, noted that Solovyov is not a political figure but an “official mouthpiece,” and that is why they can only express their protest through public criticism.
“The Republic of Armenia is a sovereign state, and no country can continue to perceive it as a state under its influence.”
According to Hakobyan, there is no danger, as Armenia maintains regular contact with its neighboring states and, in the event of problems, they are discussed and resolved through dialogue.
In his assessment, such broadcasting behavior does not constitute a direct threat to Armenian-Russian relations, but Russian partners should draw appropriate conclusions and reprimand their media outlets.
