RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi, who is in Yerevan for political consultations between the two countries.
Issues related to the development of Armenia-Iran bilateral relations were discussed. Both sides emphasized the political agreement reflected in elevating ties to a strategic level and discussed the work underway in that direction.
Mirzoyan noted in his speech, "We, understandably, attach great importance to relations with our neighbor and friend Iran. In essence, for us, they are strategic relations. And it is no coincidence that President Pezeshkian and Prime Minister Pashinyan agreed to officially raise our relations to the level of strategic partnership this, already this, year."
Ararat Mirzoyan and Majid Takht Ravanchi exchanged views on issues of unblocking regional infrastructure. The RA Foreign Minister emphasized the Republic of Armenia's clear position that infrastructure unblocking will occur within the framework of fundamental principles. Reference was made to the programs under development in this area and the opportunities they offer.
