Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has highlighted the program for reconstructing the railway from Armenia to Azerbaijan and Turkey. He noted that he had also discussed this issue with the Russians.
“We hope that the Russian partners will carry out the work (on the reconstruction of the railway) as quickly as possible. If suddenly there are any obstacles in this regard, any issues arise, you know, those sections are under the Russian concession. I have offered our readiness that the Armenian government can withdraw those sections from the concession and carry out these restorations with the state budget funds, if it turns out that Russia has or sees a problem with implementing that work promptly,” he said.
