Armenian Ambassador to the United States Narek Mkrtchyan met with United States President Donald Trump at the White House.
During a meeting held as part of an event for newly appointed ambassadors, Ambassador Narek Mkrtchyan thanked US President Donald Trump for his consistent efforts to advance peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as for the historic agreement and the signed documents reached at the White House on August 8.
In turn, US President Donald Trump congratulated the Armenian people, emphasizing that they deserve lasting peace and reaffirmed his unconditional support for peace-oriented processes.
President Trump also particularly emphasized the leadership of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and his significant role in the established peace process.
President Trump also presented Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan with a personally inscribed gift as a sign of high appreciation.
