On December 18, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the United States organized a roundtable discussion with experts from leading US think tanks to exchange views on the latest developments since the August 8 Washington Summit and the evolving strategic partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the United States. Representatives of about 15 think tanks participated in the discussion.
Ambassador Mkrtchyan delivered opening remarks at the start of the discussion. Vinay Chawla, Advisor to the Office of Special Envoy Steve Whitkoff, Vahan Hunanyan, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and Gevorg Mantashyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, delivered closing remarks.
The participants discussed the opportunities and challenges created after the Summit, including practical ways to advance sustainable peace, strengthen regional ties, and translate recent agreements into concrete cooperation. The discussion also highlighted Armenia’s growing role in innovative technology ecosystems and the importance of a trusted, rules-based partnership.
The Ambassador thanked the participants for their valuable thoughts and constructive discussion.
