On December 18, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to the Republic of Armenia, Andrea Barbara Baumann.
Congratulating the Ambassador on assuming the position, Alen Simonyan expressed hope that the newly appointed Ambassador will contribute to the development and deepening of multi-sectoral relations between Armenia and Switzerland.
The interlocutors touched on other topics of bilateral interest and regional issues.
Alen Simonyan also drew the Ambassador's attention to the issue of prisoners of war in Azerbaijan, illegally held persons, and persons considered missing.
