The first meeting of the Armenia-US working group: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that on December 17, 2025, the first meeting of the Armenia-US working group on the implementation of the agreements reached at the Washington Peace Summit on August 8, 2025, was held.
Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Sonata Coulter delivered opening remarks, in which they highly appreciated the actively developing Armenia-US strategic partnership.
Deputy Minister Kostanyan highlighted the significant US support for establishing peace in the South Caucasus and reaffirmed the interest of the Armenian side to actively work towards the implementation of the Armenia-US Memorandum of Understanding on Partnership in the Field of Capacity Development of the “Crossroads of Peace” Project, on Innovative Partnership in the Field of Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors, and on Partnership in the Field of Energy Security, signed on August 8, 2025.
Both sides highlighted significant steps towards implementing the Memorandums of Understanding and presented information on progress. An agreement was reached to continue discussions at the expert level as soon as possible towards the implementation of the specific agreements reached.
