EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas announced that, in the context of the upcoming elections in Armenia, the EU has expressed its readiness to support Armenia in strengthening its capabilities to counter hybrid and cyber threats, as well as the spread of disinformation.
Political scientist Ruben Mehrabyan said in an interview with Radar Armenia that Armenia itself filed a request with the EU. “Since these threats are present in Armenia, and there is also the belief that they will intensify ahead of the elections, this is quite logical,” he emphasized.
According to the political scientist, this is a direct parallel to the situation in Moldova, which was overcome there with the broad support of the EU, and this model of counteraction worked.
