Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received World and European weightlifting champion Nazik Avdalyan.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated Nazik Avdalyan's personal contribution to representing Armenia in the best possible way on the international stage and to the development of sports in our country. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the development of sports is one of the Government's priorities and attached importance to cooperation with Nazik Avdalyan in this regard.
The World and European weightlifting champion presented the programs of the "Nazik Avdalyan" Sports Development Foundation, which she founded, noting that the foundation's goal is to establish sports schools in the regions and thus contribute to the development of professional sports.
The Prime Minister proposed to discuss the possibility of combining the program mentioned above with the Government's program to establish sports centers in enlarged communities.
In this context, an agreement was reached to continue discussions with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
