On December 4, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, Maria Telalyan, in Vienna.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the main directions of cooperation with the ODIHR, noting with satisfaction the practical collaboration established in the areas of continuous strengthening of democratic institutions and ensuring the rule of law.
The electoral processes were touched upon. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that the RA Government considers democracy itself a continuous source of strengthening the country's resistance; therefore, it is determined to implement electoral processes in accordance with democratic standards. In this context, both sides emphasized the importance of active cooperation with relevant international structures, including ODIHR.
Ararat Mirzoyan and the ODIHR Director discussed the threats posed by hybrid tactics, including mechanisms for effectively countering disinformation, and emphasized their readiness to cooperate in this regard as well.
The meeting also exchanged views on regional developments.
Humanitarian issues were discussed.
