On December 4, within the framework of the OSCE Ministerial Conference, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with German Federal Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul.
The interlocutors discussed the most critical issues in deepening bilateral relations. Preparatory work for the upcoming high-level visits was discussed; both sides emphasized the breadth of the bilateral agenda.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Johann Wadephul noted with satisfaction the recent approval of the new RA-EU strategic partnership agenda, emphasizing the sincere interest in active cooperation in the directions envisaged by it. Minister Mirzoyan highly appreciated Germany's continuous support on the path of democratic development.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Germany discussed issues of cooperation in various formats.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on regional developments. The RA Foreign Minister presented the RA's approaches to further institutionalizing peace and unblocking transport and economic infrastructure. "The effective realization of the potential of the South Caucasus to become a transport hub can transform the region and play an important role in the development of the interconnection network," Minister Mirzoyan emphasized.
